Meandering along . . .

Today is the birthday of François Mauriac (October 11, 1885 – September 1, 1970), novelist, essayist, poet, playwright, and journalist. He was elected a member of the Académie française in 1933. François Mauriac received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1952 and the Grand Cross of the Légion d'honneur in 1958.
