Today is the birthday of Thomas Stearns Eliot, (September 26, 1888 – January 4, 1965), poet, playwright, and literary critic. He is best known as T. S. Eliot and for his poems, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock (1915), The Wasteland (1922) and The Hollow Men (1925). T. S. Eliot received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948.
